چکیده

Although there are several studies that have evaluated the bond strength of various adhesives to healthy dentin and caries-affected after traditional caries removal, objective this systematic review aimed assess (CAD) chemo-mechanical removal (CMCR) treatment. The adhered PROSPERO protocol registration followed PRISMA guidelines. research question focused on bonding effectiveness dental CAD employing method. PubMed, TRIP database, Scopus were searched, with last search conducted in February 2023. Two reviewers independently screened articles, resulting 30 articles for full-text analysis out 434 retrieved from databases. Twelve eligible included review. etch-and-rinse (ER) self-etch (SE) adhesive systems was assessed following CMCR treatment CAD. SE exhibited higher compared ER systems. Meta-analysis indicated achieved self-etching remained consistent, regardless agent (Carisolv or Papacarie) used dentin. findings suggest show favorable specific used. These results support use minimally invasive dentistry techniques at preserving tooth structure, particular.

Bonding ability of adhesive resins to caries-affected and caries-infected dentin.

Hybridized dentin permits dental treatments that were previously impossible with conventional techniques, opening new frontiers in modern adhesive dentistry. We have investigated the adhesive property of current bonding systems to caries-infected dentin by a microtensile bond strength test (µTBS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and suggested that bonding resin could infiltrate into ...

Shear bond strength of different adhesive systems to normal and caries-affected dentin

BACKGROUND AND AIM: According to the effect of the adhesive and substrate type on the bond strength, examination of the adhesive is required in all aspects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of different adhesive systems to normal dentin (ND) and caries affected dentin (CAD) in permanent teeth. METHODS: Thirty extracted molars with small occlusal caries were selected...

Chemo Mechanical Caries Removal - A New Horizon

In this era of minimal intervention dentistry, the changing concept of cavity preparation and the introduction of reliable adhesive materials have lead to the development of alternative methods of caries removal. Chemo mechanical caries removal (CMCR) involves the chemical softening of the carious dentine, followed by its removal with gentle excavation. This process removes only the infected ti...

Effect of green tea extract on bonding durability of an etch-and-rinse adhesive system to caries-affected dentin

OBJECTIVE Green tea extract has been advocated as a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor; however, its effect on bond durability to caries-affected dentin has never been reported. Thus, the aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of two MMP inhibitors (2% chlorhexidine and 2% green tea extract), applied after acid etching, on bond durability of an etch-and-rinse adhesive syste...

Elemental distributions and microtensile bond strength of the adhesive interface to normal and caries-affected dentin.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the microtensile bond strength (microTBS) and the elemental contents of the adhesive interface created to normal versus caries-affected dentin. Extracted human molars with coronal carious lesions were used in this study. A self-etching primer/adhesive system (Clearfil Protect Bond) was applied to flat dentin surfaces with normal and caries-affected dentin a...
